About us

Ecosophia Oberflächentechnik GmbH was founded in Leingarten in 2021 – at a time when more and more electroplating shops in Germany are closing while demand for high-quality surfaces remains high. This is creating supply gaps, particularly in aluminium treatment. That is exactly where we come in.

We focus on functional electroplated coatings: electroless nickel, zinc-nickel and tin-zinc. We finish parts made of steel, non-ferrous metals and aluminium and help our customers find the technically best solution for their application.

Our facility

We operate a fully automated plating line. In our own chemistry lab we monitor process parameters and control the bath chemistry. An integrated recycling system reduces water consumption.

High quality is not a buzzword for us, it is our standard. Our customers include demanding industries such as aerospace and defence. We document our processes so that quality is repeatable and every batch is traceable. Our quality management is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (certificate).

Ecosophia stands for clear communication, professional expertise and modern, stable production. Our goal is to be a reliable long-term partner for companies that need functional surfaces of consistent quality – especially in a market where suppliers are becoming scarce.

The name Ecosophia

The name combines two Greek words. “Eco” goes back to oikos – originally house or household, later economy and living space. At its core it is about the conscious use of resources: how materials, energy and processes are organised.

“Sophia” means knowledge and skill – not abstract wisdom, but real expertise: doing things right, making decisions that can be traced, mastering processes.

Together, Ecosophia describes how we work: technical expertise combined with responsible use of resources. Modern equipment, stable processes and a clear commitment to quality – without unnecessary consumption and without compromising on precision.
